The Cottage Garden

Lola and Pip didn’t have to leave home to have an adventure as they bounded into the garden, tails wagging with excitement. Firstly there was the old garden shed to explore with its shelves lined with old clay pots and where rustic tools grew their crops of spiderwebs. An investigation into the greenhouse was next (after zoomies around the rose bushes of course!), where low hanging cherry tomatoes were abundant giving the two a secret treat providing daddy wasn’t looking! Happily sniffing their way to the tall eucalyptus tree at the bottom of the garden, smelling its fresh cooling scent tingling their noses. Pip, getting a second wind ran around the fountain at the bottom of the garden, sending a scattering of green leaves tumbling beneath her paws. Further on came a patch of delicate violets and Lola pressed her nose into the purple blooms whilst Pip chased butterflies through sweet lily of the valley creating a magical perfume that followed them back into the house somehow locking every scent into their memories.
